Review
Steve is known for his footballing ability, but decided to fill the summer of 2009 representing Baston at cricket. Despite a couple of early season drops, Steve found his feet in the field and soon started catching everything that came his way and cemented his position at mid-wicket. From this position Steve showed off his wordplay as he became chief sledger, causing fear in the batsmen and laughter in the field. A few notable innings, with 24* against Tolethorpe the pick, featuring a huge six into the nearby river. Steve was barred by The Spinning Wheel after one game, and that saw the end of his season (that and the return of the football season)
Champagne Moment
With Boston's boring defensive lower middle order players happy to see out the potential 59 overs, scoring one run an over, Steve took an excellent catch diving forward at mid-wicket to see the end of one of the batsmen, leaving the bowlers to clean up the tail.
