Both the Stags and the visitors had a few first teamers in their ranks with Martin Todd at full back.
With the biting wind at their backs the Stags huffed and puffed their way to a 17-0 lead but played better rugby into the wind in the second half.
Anthony Cheslin got the first try after ten minutes when Mark Cholmondeley again popped up at centre [is he harbouring ambitions?]and sent him clear with a well timed pass. Kev Anderson added a second uncoverted try justv five minutes later with Panda getting hisn firstv just before the break.
Philhenderson got himself rare try on 50m minutes when he popped up to take a pass from Tinker Williamson with Panda then showing his class on 55 minutes and again in the last minute.
A very even tempered game had taken a turn for the worse on the hour and both Kev Anderson and the visiting No 9 were eventually sin-binned for a scuffle.
