CLUB EQUITY POLICY

The officials of West Hartlepool RFC are committed to ensuring that equity is the cornerstone of all aspects of the club.

The elected Board, co-opted members and officials endorse equality of access and fairness in competition, and seek to recognise inequalities and to take steps to address any inequalities. We are committed to changing the culture and structure of sport to ensure it is equally accessible to everyone in society.

Furthermore, we respect the rights, dignity and worth of ever person and will treat everyone equally within the context of their sport, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or socio/economic status.

We are committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their sport without threat of intimidation, harassment or abuse.

All club members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour of any kind, and it is their duty to bring any such behaviour to the attention of the Board. Any incidents of discriminatory behaviour will be dealt with seriously and in accordance with club rules.
