The clubs have met many times in league action - although the last encounter didn't go well for West in 2018 with a 66-15 defeat at a wintry Winter's Park when our squad was:

 It'll be another tough game this week, which is just what the coaches want following last week's tremendous 31-26 win at West Leeds who are fancied to win their Counties 1 Yorkshire league. 

The victory was achieved with a squad which  only featured six backs and with Chris Atkins playing most of the game at outside centre. Chris Webb was in charge for his first game in the coaching squad and he was delighted with the team spirit and willingness to work hard for each other,

This week we have some front rows missing. Fortunately, a few backs return to get their first run-out including Sam Heron, Lewis Scott, Ollie Connolly and Jake Tennant. Sam is likely to be at scrum half with Ryan Painter away.

Head coach Jamie Connolly says: "The coaching team is looking forward to assessing their two squads in a combined pre-season friendly at home against a strong Penrith squad.

"It will be a great opportunity to impress the coaches and claim a starting spot in either the First XV or Stags team when the competitions kick-off on September 3rd."

This week's game is free entry and kick offs at 3.00 at Brinkburn and will be divided into four quarters.
