Derby Day Teams
The Firsts host Rovers for the first time since Boxing Day 2018 as skipper Ryan Painter closes in on his 200th first team appearance  - the Stags will be on the No 6 bus to Brus  Corner ..

The Firsts still have an outside chance of making the top four or five, which may or may not provide elevation to the new Level Six league next season. However, the main aim is to gain revenge for Rovers' 22-17 win in the first league encounter back in December.

West's form has increased dramatically since then with 230 points scored in the last five matches - much to the chagrin of the Points West members who, at the start of the season, pledged 10 pence for every point scored. They have their end of season bash at the game and are forking out £70 each for the privilege - a great effort from all 37.

The West side looking to continue that run of form shows the usual weekly changes - notably in the second row where both Jake Linighan and Tom Robertson are unavailable. Ollie Webster and James Tyers start after coming off the bench last week at Acklam.

The only other change in the pack sees Scott Butcher return for Isaac Robinson, who has work and study commitments for the rest of the season. "Izzy" impresssed adjudicator John Dixon with his workrate at Acklam last week and almost pipped Ollie Connolly for West's Man of the Match.

Butch's appearances have been hampered by family commitments but his try scoring ratio is impressive - seven from 10 games. Similarly Andy Turner has six tries from nine games, after his return from long term injury, and they'll pack down with Chrissy Atkins

The backs show just one change. Max Tennant comes in for brother Jake and starts the game, with Zac Southern providing cover on the bench, while the lively combination of Matt Siddle at full back and Sam Heron at fly-half continues.

Rovers had to forfeit their home game with leaders Percy Park last week because of problems getting a front-row out. Hopefully, both games will go ahead this week.

The Stags have named a biq squad with one of them possibly moving onto the first team bench as the coaches await availability news. There is, however,  one particularly notable name on the team sheet - that of Rob Thorn. "Restart Rob" is a busy oil industry executive these days travelling the world but obviously fancies a run-out on his return for the Easter break.

The Stags are also bolstered by half a dozen of the Academy players becominng available now their season has finished.
