There's an amber weather warning so it promises to be an interesting afternoon followed by an interesting night out on the Toon. None of it for the faint hearted.

Regardless, breaking the away hoodoo is the most inportant task of the day and there's the usual comings and goings due to injury and other commitments.

Stu Waites is still sporting a black eye, as the result of last week's unwarranted headbutt, but it's a back injury which is keeping him out this week.

Chris Atkins was also an injury victim last week. Fortunately, Scott Butcher is available to take the No 8 shirt and Ollie Connolly moves back to 10. There's a new centre partnership in Zac Southern and Owen Westhorp  -allowing Sam Heron to revert to full back with Will Hilditch back on the wing where he scores most of his tries. Ollie Mossop is on the other wing.

Adam Hutchinson has been one of the plus points of the season, so far, and is fit to resume in the front row alongside Aidan Jackson-Smith and Adam Coates.

Jake Linghan packs down with  Will Corbett in an an athletic second row - they will be up against former Scotland and Falcons lock Craig Hamilton who is one of the Rockcliff coaches.

On the bench there's a welcome return for prop Tim Blades who was last in action for West before his sojourn to Australia.
