They were missing regulars Dan Quinn & Jacob Parker (his dads fault 😉), but the much changed side put on a strong performance to win 33-7.
Matty Tyers fitted into the scrum half spot easily, not a sight many of us thought we would see this season after his recent illness, and Fin Ridley was “destructive” in only his second game back for the club - he also got on the Scoresheet.
There was also a welcome return by Will Richardson who always makes his presence felt on the pitch.
Ryan Godfrey had a much improved game at hooker, if not a little eager at times, and Glyn Pickering was awarded Man of the Match - Glyn is only in his first season of Rugby and is getting better with each game.
A special mention to Graeme Scott who, after manning the Gate with Mr Sancaster, took to the pitch to replace Mixie Parker only to be nearly killed with his first touch of the ball - he does always provide the entertainment!
The Stags have Hartlepool BBOB RFC at home next week.
