Target Top Four
The RFU have finally revealed the promotion and relegation  details for this coming season - and if we are to achieve a return to Level 6 we will need to finish in the top four in Durham and Northumberland One.

The RFU is changing the league structures across the country with the aim of reducing the size of leagues and cutting travelling times and costs. So, instead of 14 team leagues, we wll have 12 teams from season 2022-23.

There will also be more leagues at the various levels with the result that there will not be any relegation in the lower leagues this season, with more teams promoted to make up the numbers.

Thereafter, it's likely to revert to one automatically up and one down with a second place play-off.

Our league season starts at home to Horden and Peterlee on September 4th. Before then we host West Bridgford this Saturday (August 21st) with a 1.30 kick off followed by a Durham Intermediate Cup trip to Consett next week.
