West Leeds earned their draw with a last minute try after going ahead after just three minutes through their lively left winger.
The home pack had their counterparts on the backfoot for much of the opening stages. We finally levelled the scores after promising debutant fly-half Sam Heron threw a long pass to outside centre where Lewis Scott smartly finished with Heron converting.
Ryan Painter was on good form throughout and his snipey run from ten meters put West 14-7 up as both sides slogged it out with defences on top.
