The original squad of 15 was joined by Adam Brown and referee Phill Jukes who was shuttling back and forth encouraging some of the bigger lads on - to the extent he clocked more than 15 and a half miles on his fit bit. The rest of the team was as selected: Matt Tyers (Santa), James Tyers, Alex Johnson, Liam Rutherford, Danny Quinn, Will Corbett, Zac Southern, Eldon Myers, Tom Shaw, Harry Mayes, Aidan Jackson-Smith, Liam Pennick, Will Hilditch, Peter Youll and Andrew Rollins.
They were given a fantastic reception as they ran past Hart, round the Headland, through the Marina, along Seaton front and back to Brinkburn via Owton Manor Lane and finishing in the same way they started- as a team.
After slaking their thirsts they went off to visit the Park Avenue Grinch, which was has been attracting so much attention, and where the Liddell family have themselves already raised £12,000 for Alice House.
A real community effort, and it's not too late to contribute. Some 470 people have donated, together with the many members of the public who stuffed notes in the collecting tins as the lads ran past. Here is the Just Giving page.
