Three of the last four games are away - with the only home game against league leaders Pocklington next week.

First there is the tricky trip to Morpeth where the home side take pride in taking scalps. The Northumbrians are always strong at Mitford Road – including doing us a big favour by beating rivals Penrith 18-8.

Morpeth had a rest last week, while we struggled to overcome a Durham City side fighting to avoid relegation. Fortunately, we were able to stage a comeback to win 19-15 with one of the youngest line-ups the club has fielded in league rugby

The coaches had a nightmare with injuries and late cry-offs. However, once again Ian Dixon called on the youngsters and they didn’t him down.  Former Colts skipper Fraser Handley coming back from Uni to play his first game of the season in the second row, and 17 year old Adam Peacock making his debut in the backs. Along with Matt Siddle they did a tremendous job.

This week we will be without  Sam Miller, who still has an ankle ligament injury ,while Carl Miller who deputised for big Sam, has a neck and back strain after his exertions at Hollow Drift.

Fortunately, we have some of the experienced lads back including Aaron Myers who will wear the 8 shirt and Ryan Painter who returns at scrum half after missing the last two games.

Joe Rafferty is back from Cheltenham races and  Rob Thorn back from the USA and both come in to the side. Alex Barker also makes a welcome return to provide forwards cover on the bench alongside Ross Wood and Joe Willis.

Luke Mallinson is also available again and he'll take over from the lively Will Hilditch who also took a knock at City.
