Games between West and Alnwick are traditionally close encounters with the home side tending to triumph. True to form Alnwick won the first game 18-9 back in November - our first defeat of the season.
Full back James Bird was the dangerman popping up two minutes from time to score the decisive try and then converting it from way out on the touchline to deny us a losing bonus point.
