Phoenix are runaway leaders of North One East - if not yet mathematically certain of promotion. The Yorkshire side has shot through the leagues, after moving to Doncaster Knights' stadium, and include a number of former Knights playersinlcuding former Sarries flanker Ryan Peacey, former Newcastle Falcons flanker Rob Devonshire and London Irish fly half Jamie Lennard.
As a result they are now 21 points clear at the top of North One East with just seven games to go.
However, we travel on the back of a superb performance against Alnwick last week, and with the knowledge that we ran them very close at Brinkburn. Doncaster won that one 28-27 after we pulled them back after their blistering start to the game.
Michael Hogan joins the injury list after last week's game as he takes a precautionary three week rest because of a knock to the head. He joins Stu Waites, Gav Painter, Ross Wood and Joe Rafferty in the sick bay but we will have Aaron Myers back in the squad.
The injuries have meant that up and coming players have been given a decent run in the side with 17 year old Joe Willis now third in the try scoring stakes , and the athletic John Bunter (pictured) continuing to impress in the second row.
