Percy Park Preview
Percy Park are the visitors for the last home game of 2015 and it promises to be a lively affair ...

The Met Office is forecasting the proverbial game of two halves, but at least the rain should hold off as the pitches are already very heavy.

There are several enforced changes to the West side with Luke Mallinson, Aaron Myers and Owen Bennett all unavailable,  and Michael Hogan injured.

Scott Butcher returns so he comes straight back on the wing. Ross Wood is also available again and he'll be in the front row allongside Rollins and Coates.

The versatile Chris Atkins moves back to the second row with Sam Miller restored at No 8 after overcoming his ankle problems.

Second row John Bunter and scrum half Matty Crowe move up from the Stags after some impressive performances. They'll be on the bench alongside Jack Angus.

We go into the last home game of 2015 in a healthy third place in North One East and anxious to keep some daylight between ourselves and the chasing pack. Two Yorkshire sides are clear at the top of the league and both Doncaster Phoenix and Morley will take some catching.

Below them are a pack of four North East clubs with Percy Park in sixth place - some six points behind West.

The North Shields outfit have picked up form since  Lome Fa’ata returned to action. The Samoan winger featured in two World Cups and was once labelled the fastest player in world rugby.

He’s now in his forties and using his experience at full back, and that was a significiant  factor in Park becoming the only side, so far,  to beat top of the table Doncaster.  However. the player coach hasn't selected himself this week - perhaps he's been on the Met Office website.
