We should be able to use the new clubhouse in the next few weeks. The builders are waiting for the scree floor to dry out completely so the carpets and floor coverings can be laid, and then we should be in business with an official opening planned for during the World Cup - once the additional club bar is complete.

The new clubhouse, with its six dressing rooms and underfloor heating, will come into its own next season, when it's very much to be hoped that we will be facing Percy Park once again in the league.

Our destiny is in our own hands and we need at least one more win to ensure safety. The importance of last week's win at Wheatley Hills becoming apparent when other results came in with all of the teams at the bottom fighting for their lives and picking up points.

With three games to go we are five points clear of third bottom Bradford and Bingley - our next opponents on their own ground.

Park arrive having had an excellent season, but one which tailed off when they suffered injuries to some key players including influential scrum half John Scott and former West pro James Ponton.

As a result they've dropped out of the promotion race,and will have to be content with a very creditable top half place.

The first team will be supported by a Colts team coming together for the first time since the tragic news that their No 8 Ed Hunt had been found dead last Monday.

Ed joined the club earlier this season quickly showing the pedigree which made him a Scottish Under 16 international and a young man of vast promise - both on and off the pitch. The thoughts of everyone at West are with his family and there will be a one minute's silence before tomorrow's game.
