Ian Pinchen is also available again and starts in a pack which will face one of the most experienced and, it has to be said, hefty.
They include second row John Dudley, who is continuing to earn his place despite being closer to 50 than 40, with prop Simon Bunting not that much younger. Both have had distinguished playing careers with the likes of Rotherham and Doncaster.
In the continued absence of Owen Bennett the West pack is considerably younger. Liam Bailey makes his first start at flanker in place of Jordan Baggs who is off on a Christmas shopping sojourn to Hamburg.
The backs are unchanged following their try bonus point performance against Bradford last week with Andy Foreman providing cover. Forwards Ross Wood and Jay Corbett have both been impressive in recent weeks, and they'll play their part in an 18 man game from the bench.
Dinnington have every reason to be delighted with their first half season in North One East. They were the standout team at the start of the season, but have slipped a little having lost to the high flyers of Sheffield, Percy Park and Rochdale.
They are also the only side to have stopped us scoring so far. They had the benefit of the famous slope in the first half at Lodge Lane and we fancied our chances when we turned round at nils apiece. However, a botched restart let them in for the only try of the game and a final score of 13-0.
That was also the game when Andrew Cheslin badly dislocated his shoulder, and injuries to Zac Southern and Darren Thomas saw Danny Boatman having to move to centre.
We will be hoping for better luck at Brinkburn. The aim now is to put more distance between us and the the third bottom club -currently 10 points - so we can kick on in 2015.
