Niramax, the Hartlepool waste management company, is the major supporter of the development through the Landfill Communities Fund. Managing Director Frank Antropik was joined by Neil Carrigan , Director of the Mondegreen Environmental Body which administers the Landfill Development Fund and Angela Pease, the Fund's Community Projects Manager .
The work is being carried out by Hartlepool company Kingfield Developments Limited who were represented by MD Mike Dickinson, and will provide the club with six new dressing rooms, a 200 seat community and function room and a fitness room. It is due for completion in February 2015.
Les Smith, West's Chairman of Rugby said: "Since moving to Brinkburn the club has operated from what was a school hockey pavilion with four small dressing rooms.
“We have more than 200 youngsters playing on a Sunday, as well as four adult teams, so the new dressing rooms are urgently needed and we are very grateful to Niramax whose support is making this possible."
