The last home game against Sheffield saw the highly unusual, and somewhat old fashioned, scoreline of 6-3 to the visitors. It was a listless, lack lustre and unfocused display played out in front of a host of former first team players who'd been brought along by the sponsors with the promise that the lads were serving up some decent rugby - specially at home.
It's similar scenario for the Pock game with the Gingers and Stashers kindly sponsoring the game, and bringing along more than 20 recently retired players.
Head coach Iain Dixon is determined they will be served some better rugby, and has picked the same squad which dominated the final hour against YM last week and came very close to ending their unbeaten home record.
The ambition now is to finish in third place and to have beaten every side in the league at least once - apart from runaway leaders Cleckheaton, of course.
To achieve that goal we will have to overcome Pocklington who are currently fifth in the league after being one of the early front runners.
Back in November, when the sides first met, we went into a 12-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of the game only to slacken and let their hosts come back to win 14-12.
Second row Owen Bennett has recovered from the eye injury which saw him exit early from his man of the match performance at Huddersfield, while Alex Barker continues in the back row after a string of excellent performances .
Skipper Dan Boatman has to be content with a place on the bench as her comes back from injury. He’ll provide both second row and back row cover.
