We haven't done badly on our travels against sides in the bottom half of the table, and we do have the prospect of Cleckheaton, Pocklington and Rochdale  all having to visit Brinkburn. Revenge in those games would make for an interesting end to the season and a very real prospect of a play-off game at the end.

But there are still plenty of difficult games before then and Morpeth on their own patch are always a tricky prospect.

They will come into the game smarting from a derby defeat at Alwnick last week where they failed to register a single point - despite having talented kicker Matthew Jinks in their ranks.

He managed five penalties at Brinkburn in the first encounter at Brinkburn which we won 36-22 thanks to scoring six tries to Morpeth's one.

As a result Morpeth find themselves just a  couple of points above the relegation places, and with a difficult set of fixtures coming up the will be desperate for the points.

We will go into the game with a couple of changes. Sam Miller is resting an  injury so Andy Turner will start in the back row, while Andy Robson starts in the second row as the coaches continue to reward players for good performances in the Stags.

Greg Edwards continues at inside centre with Laim Bailey still unavailable. Anth Carr is also missing so Andrew Dixon will be one of the interchange players [possibly a better description these days than "replacements."]

Of course, the clubs have met regularly over the years. Ten years ago we suffered a heavy defeat at  Brinkburn but perhaps it's no surprise when you see who was playing fly half for  Morpeth ....
