Bradford & Bingley Preview

Bradford & Bingley Preview
Rollins
Ian Pinchen is unfit so Andrew Dixon comes in as the only change in the side to take on fellow strugglers Bradford & Bingley at Brinkburn in the last of the 3.00 kick offs ...

That's not a surprise after last week's hard working performance at top of the league Harrogate which could have achieved more than one point.

The difference on the day was the kicks which went over and the ones which didn't. Fortunately, Stu Waites did get the very last kick of the game, following Andrew Rollins' close range try, to earn that bonus point.

The whole side tackled for the full eighty minutes of what was  an intense - if not pretty - game and they will need to keep that rate up against the Bees.

The visitors have lost one of two players - notably foreign imports via Bradford University - but still have a strong pack well led by skipper Guy Ford, and with some danegrous runners including Riachard Tafa at centre. They've also lost Colin Stephens their Director of Rugby this week by "mutual consent."

Henry Paul is on the books as a player coach - a role he fits in while coaching the Russian 7s team. The 38 year old League/Union/New Zealand/England legend joined in the summer, but has only been called into action once so far when he came on last week to help cement the home win against Rossendale. He is on the teamsheet again this week.

Our concentration will be on continuing the improvement of the past few weeks and overtaking the handful of sides who are just a  couple of league points ahead of us.

Good luck lads and lets keep the better form going. It's all about playing for each other and the club.
