As a result both sides were guaranteed possession on the put in and the chance to give the backs a run.
But it wasn't until the closing phases that our running game provided four tries in twelve minutes.
Davy Tighe had started the scoring in the tenth minute darting in from 15 metres to give Paul Moss an easy conversion.

At half time West shuffled the pack and were fielding four “second rows” in Davies, Henderson, Miller and Garside.
The pace of the West pack always created problems for the home defence and it finally resulted in a try for prop Anth Carr on 68 minutes who took a ball from fly half Phil Wallis on the burst.
Wallis then put in a superb crossfield kick to find Andrew Hare on the wing who took the catch to touch down in the corner. . Wallis made it 21-11 with a superb conversion. Hare was immediately back in the action making 20 metres before shipping the ball to Phil Henderson who raced in from 20 metres.
Young winger Gavin Painter completed the scoring near the end when replacement scrum half Colin Cheslin went on the blindside and drew the cover to send in his wingman at the corner. Again Wallis slotted from the touchline.
