Hythe 2's vs Pylewell Park

Hythe 2's closed the gap on leaders Fawley after their game was abandoned at half time against Pylewell Park. Pylewell only had four players and when Bellie took out their skipper with a John Terry tackle the visitors couldn't field with 3 players.

Bellie one the toss and asked Pylewell to bat first despite only having four players. Pylewell got off to a good start with Stirling in his normal hard hitting form. Stirling retired 25* but then Gates the Pylewell skipper ran for a quick single only to get tangled up in Bellie's long legs. Gates picked himself up but you could see he was struggling and on 66 he was run out for 12.

Luker was then bowled by Saunders and the returning Stirling smashed 3x6's before being last man out - run out by Saunders for 44 Pylewell 86 all out. Ali Bryers was the pick of the Hythe bowlers 0-22 off 3 inc 9 dot balls.

With the Hythe batsman padded up - Gates said he couldn't continue - leaving Pylewell with only 3 players - game abandoned. With nothing written in the handbook for an abandoned game - The league gave Hythe 13 points and Pylewell 5 for turning up with 4 players.

Hythe move into second place - Next Week its rivals and league leaders Fawley.
