Hythe 2's vs Milford on Sea
| Milford Complete Double Over Hythe 2's |
How comes Hythe 2's can beat everyone in their league else except for Milford !!! On Sunday Bellie lost the toss and Hythe (with two forced changes) were put into bat first. Skipper Ewan Bell and Zac Millar got the Green Caps off to a steady start. Bell smashed a four and two sixes before retiring 25* . Millar then retired after hitting 3 x fours - 25*.
Needing late runs Mike Bowman hit a six in his 13* and Sam Mead finished 10* as Hythe posted 135 for 0 off their 12 overs.
In the field Bellie opened up with Sam Mead and Chalky White. Mead especially was impressive with only 25 coming off his 3 overs. Brown retired 25* and it wasn't until Milford were at 77 that the first wicket of the afternoon fell when Rob Saunders bowled Burns for 18.
Brochart and Ferrar continued the big hitting and Milford cruised home with 11 balls to spare.
Afterwards Bellie said ' we just didn't get enough runs to compensate for their big hitters plus we didn'y field very well.
Thanks to Matt Howe for scoring and Jonjo for umpiring.
