Hythe 1's got their league campaign off to a winning start with a 34 run victory over Bransgore
Hythe batted first scoring a competative 137 for 3 off their 12 overs. The Green Caps lost Matt Howe early but skipper Matt Young 22 and Harry Smith 27* took the score past the ton mark and 32 came off the last two overs thanks to a quick ralley from James Page 12* .
Bransgore were soon in trouble with Wright and Thomas run out for 0's. The revival came from skipper S.Binfield & A.Syrett who both retired. With 3 overs to go Bransgore were 80 for 2 needing 58. Harry Smith then bowled Ball for 4 but the crunch came when Matt Howe bowled the returning Binfield for 28 then Syrett 28. Bransgore ending on 103 for 5.
