| Wright & Millar Set Up Fine Win |
Hythe 2's made it 2 wins from 2 with a comprehensive 41 run win over Sway 2's.
Bellie once again lost the toss and Hythe were asked to bat. Simon Wright 41* and Zac Millar 37* got the Green Caps off to a great start though they were also helped by Sways wayward bowling (52 wides in total). At 109 Hythe lost their first wicket - Bell for 14 and then lost the next 3 wickets all for first ballers. Mike Bowmans second in consecutive games. Dave Marshall then bowled Blackwell and then Saunders but his hat-trick got to him and bowled the next for a wide.
Wright and Millar both returned to take the score to 147 for 4 at the close. A good score
Sway's reply got off to the worst possible start when debutant J.Rogers at the non strikers end was run out by Bell without even facing a ball. Wioth 20 on the board Sway lost their second wicket when L.Symons was run out by Saunders for 5. Dave Marshall joined Hammond in the middle and when he hit 2 successive 6's things looked like they could possibly turn in Sways favour however Marshall was bowled by Blackwell for 18 with the score 60 for 3.
C.Hammond retired but sonn returned when S.Drayton was run out by Wright for 2. Bramwell and Hammond added 33 before both fell run out to Luke Blackwell and Sway finished 106 all out with 7 balls remaining.
A good fielding display by Hythe and a fine win. Bellie would like to thank Woodsy for umpiring and Jonjo for scoring.
