Blackwell Destroys Baddesley Before Homeside Throw In The Hanky

Hythe 3rd XI's game at North Baddesley was abandoned after 31 overs with the home side struggling on 90 for 9.
Baddesley won the toss and elected to bat first but after one over the game was haulted for 55 minutes. When Hythe took to the field again the Baddesley batsman couldn't cope with Luke Blackwell 4-14 and Ian Prentice 3-12 on a swinging wicket as they crashed to 90 for 9 before a second rain shower came.
After 15 minutes the Baddesley captain said that was it and the game was abandoned leaving Hythe where they with at the begining of the day on a 21.45 average - top of the league with 3 games to go. Closest rivals Sarisbury were beaten by Hamble in a rain effected game but Southampton Community now go second after a 24 pointer at Bartley against Totton & Eling.
