The other big change is in the front row where prop Michael Cook has been released to play for the County Under 21's in their cup semi against a highly rated Cheshire side.
Cook has been an unsung hero for West, going about his job quietly but effectively. His shirt will be taken by Brett Cullinane with Carl Robinson coming in at hooker.
In the back row Peter Hodgson gets the start at flanker with Henry Tones likely to come on second half.
The big surprise in the backs is that Phil Cuff will be at full back. He has looked impressive since his return from Cambridge University and scored an excellent try at Morley thanks to some nifty footwork from Darren Thomas.
Gareth Kerr has opted to play for West, rather than the County, and will be in the centre with Thomas and Tommy Barff on the wings.
Doncaster are clear at the top of the league and determined to stay there. They hammered us at their place putting on 95 points with their coaching staff urging them to pass the 100 mark. Player coach Derek Eves will be a Number 8 while John Liley is another player with the highest pedigree - in fact it only seems like yesterday that was kicking for England and Leicester. They have invested in bringing in players to get them up the leagues including a sprinkling of former England A players such as prop Gavin Baldwin.
Let's hope the margin is considerably smaller on Sunday.West Cuff, Thomas, Kerr, Milne, Barff, Connolly [capt] Tighe, Cholmondeley, Robinson, Wright, Davies, Sawyer, Hodgson, Bennett.
