We're suddenly looking a lot stronger and more mature in the forwards, although the backs are now looking a bit of a problem with Michael Walton's return to Rovers.

Its a compliment to the young flanker who spent one season with Rovers as a colt but returned to West amid claims he would struggle at the higher level. A few Man of the Match performances have given him the last laugh.
Stabler has signed Andrew Hare who has come up the ranks with West Juniors and Mark Thompson's brother Phil comes on board as a utility back. Unfortunately, he won't be available for the middle part of the season.
Stabs is also expected to sign a fly half who will be available later in the season.
Once the holidays are out of the way he will have a squad of about 30 players to work with ... sheer luxury compared to previous seasons.
