Lambert Starts at Morpeth
Lambert
Chris Lambert starts his first league game in the side which looks to start 2006 as we left off in 2005. The winger, who celebrated his 18th on Christmas Day, comes in for Andrew Hare who is unavailable - a romantic legacy of the summer tour to Barcelona!

With a number of players vying for selection after the two holiday derbies the coaches have gone for the tried and tested starting line-up.

Carlo Robinson is back in the front row, after completing a full 80 minutes against Horden, which means that Mark Cholmondeley will have to be content with a place on the bench after missing that game because of work.

Anth Carr is back from holiday and resumes at loosehead with Brett at hooker. The second row of Rudd and Davies is restored although the coaches will have been more than happy with the performance of Henderson and Garside against Horden.

Henry Tones also did well in that game, but will have to be content with being a replacement as will Phil Wallis.

Morpeth is always a difficult place to win although we somehow managed to contrive to lose there last season. This term the Northumbrians are getting back to form and are one place above us in the league.

We ran in almost forty points against them at Brinkburn in November and they will be keen to put that right. They claimed they had taken us too lightly that day and certainly won't be making that mistake again.

The Stags have an interesting league game at home to Mowden IIIs. It should be a strong side with all players asked to turn up at the Pavilion for final selection.
