Myers on Stand-by
Aaron Myers
Aaron Myers is the latest West young blood to make it into the first team squad. The dynamic 18 year old England Academy flanker will be on the bench in the side which takes on struggling Percy Park at Brinkburn. Kick off 2.15 for for both the Firsts and the Stags.

Paul Moss continues at fly half, after a solid display at Alnwick, while Jon Boatman comes back into side with Henry Tones and Paul Williamson set for a full 80 minutes with the Stags who are also at home to Percy Park.

Two points are important. The three January fixtures see us up against the leaders [ Morpeth, Durham and Beverley] and the main concern is to get a respectable total - usually about 18 points - so we can relax without the fear of doing a "Malton and Norton." The Yorkshire side suddenly found themselves relegated last season after going down at the 11th hour through their points difference.

Carlo Robinson is making a gentle return to fitness and could also be on the bench. If not Andy Palmer will deputise.

Percy Park are having a very unfortunate season. They were already hit by injuries when we met at the end of November and since then have lost their fly half with a severe head laceration which will keep him out for the rest of the season then last week one fo their centres tore his knee ligaments against Rovers.

As a result they have had to register three former players this week. Fortunately, it's holiday time and the lads have returned from University to help their club out. Durham University's Ben Debham will be at centre while Cambridge student Michael Conn will be at scrum half.
