Doncaster Game Switched to Sunday
Ski-ing
West will now play Doncaster at Brinkburn this Sunday with a 3.00 kick off. The League made the decision today after West approached them because of a player crisis. The February 23rd date had originally been kept clear and that has caused the confusion.

A number of the senior players had agreed to do to weddings while Chris Webb, coach John Stabler and team manager Dave Ince had all booked holidays.

Webb is away ski-ing but now both Stabler and Ince will be back from their weekend breaks, while players such as Dave Tighe will hopefully have recovered from their wedding celebrations.

League leaders Doncaster were reluctant to switch as they have several police officers in their side and they had changed shifts.

But Dave Ince said: "They are a very strong side and that should not trouble them too much. We could have fielded a side on Saturday, and John and I could have cancelled our breaks and lost money, but it would have been a very much patched up team. As it is we will now only be missing Chris Webb who is away for a fortnight supervising his school's skiing trip.

The Doncaster game was originally scheduled for the beginning of January but was a victim of the weather.
