Busy Weekend at Brinkburn
Jon-Jo Dixon-Barker is West's new Chairman. The former committee stalwart and sponsorship expert was appointed at Friday's AGM as Stu Murray stepped down to concentrate on his new business. Jon-Jo's first job was to drop in on a superb minis and junior registration day ..here's the photo

Jon-Jo's appoitment is part of a restucturing the way the Board works. In future it will meet only once a month with two committees - rugby management and house commiteee - meeting every two weeks. Les Smith chairs the rugby committee and Stu Murray will chair the house committee.

The minis and juniors have their own committee, chaired by Tony Mills with Brian McMurdo representing them on the Board.

At Friday's AGM treasurer Peter Olsen reproted that the club had now cleared all the debts of the professional era and, while money was tight, the club was now in a relatively healthy position.

In his last speech as Chairman Stu Murrtay paid trribuite to everyone who had helped turn a blackened shell into a clubhouse.
