With a handful of the excellent Colts, and a couple of the deihard Ams on show, we had a very useful work-out with top North East ref Steve Havery again running the rule on this season's interpretations of the laws. The main one being the sharp penalising of any play aimed at slowing the game down - notably hands in the ruck!
There will be hard test at Brinkburn on Wednesday when we taske on Blaydon [6.30] followed by a trip to Manchester next weekend.
And at last they've made the cuop draws. we'll be at nesly promoted Gateshead on Sat September 17 in the first round of the Intermediate.
