West's Juniors and their families had a glorious day at Brinkburn .. and declared themselves delighted with their new home. The only black spot on the day was Brian McMurdo's dislocated shoulder in the Dads v Lads tag game .. but he returned from hospital for a pint!.

John Painter returned to the club and showed he could still shift a bit asthe First XV took on a talented set of Juniors at tag.

The Juniors move to Brinkburn from the start of the new season and the Fun Day allowed parents to find out where to drop off their aspiring stars .... and to see the facilities from themselves.

Junior section Chairman John Cole said: "They were all impressed and the facilities are so good I am hopeful we can once again host County fixtures.

"The changing facilities are bigger and better than we have used to and the use of the Sports Hall will make a big difference especially when the weather is bad."
