Morley Muscle West Out Of It
Breakaway Try
We scored the first two tries of this game but in the end a heavier and older side made their presence felt. They won through pushover tries and, while we held our concentration and battled to the end, we never looked likely after losing our lead in the first quarter. We eventually went down 48-12.

Morley went ahead with a penalty after five minutes, but we hit back straight away when Darren Thomas superbly kicked on a loose ball and he set it up nicely for Phil Cuff to win the race for the touch down. Michael Walton, who was out of touch with his kicking, for once, missed the conversion.

We went further ahead after 15 minutes when Allan Milne intercepted on his own 22 and raced away to touch down under the posts.

But that was the end of our scoring. Morley ground their way back into the game with a succession of pushover tries.

They did score a belter on 73 minutes when they spread the ball out wide, for once, but they played to their strengths and we couldn't match them.
