"Garse" has returned to top form after completing his Fire Brigade training and says that training every day with the Brigade has certainly helped his strength. However, it does mean he has to work the odd Saturday!
Either Phil Henderson or Carl Miller will come straight back into the second row to partner Chocky Davies. Both lads have played most games this season, while Rudd and Davies have been unavailable for one reason and another, and will be keen to re-establish themselves.
Otherwise there's every chance that it will be the same side which beat Morpeth last week to provide us with some breathing space.
Huddersfield took on Sheffield in a friendly match last week. They managed to put seven tries over their near neighbours who are struggling against relegation in the league above.
They beat us 20-5 at Brinkburn - but it should have been much closer. Since then we have had both Chocky and Allan Milne back in the side.
But, apart from the Rovers game when local bragging rights were at stake, we have failed to find any away form. Two poor displays at Morpeth and Stockton have cost us dear and, if we'd managed four points from those games, the season would have been looking much better. Saturday would be a good day to start finding that away form.
