Selection won't be made until after training on Thursday but the chances are that Paul Rudd, returning from Fire Brigade training, and Chocky Davies are both likely to start with Anth Carr at hooker.

In the backs Paul Miller has finally had his knee surgery so he'll be missing for a couple of months. But Martin Todd is expected to be back after being away on a course.

Fortunately, we now have cover for many positions for what will be an important game.

Our visitors chalked up a good forty points at home to high flying Alnwick last week, but now the league is settling down it very much appears that, apart from classy Westoe, the rest of the league is fairly competitive.

Certainly Rovers have done themselves a power of good in signing another Foreman and with three going down this season it looks like it will be a season long scrap for points. We seriously missed out on what should have been a gift last week by letting Morpeth back into the game.

It's left a bad taste with everyone this week but the best way to put that right is to get back to good disciplined team rugby this week against a side we know very well.
