Rudd Starts at Full Back
Full Back
Paul Rudd is the man to fill the full back berth as West travel to Bedford. Twenty one year old Rudd began last week's brave effort against Mowden in the second row - now he's faced with catching the up and unders. He'll be helped by Thomas in a novel approach to combat the shortage of backs.

Darren will take up the full back position in defensive situations while Rudd will use his power when we are on the attack.

Henry Tones will be at flanker, with the front row unchanged from the one which made England Under 21 James Isaacson look ordinary at Mowden last week. Dan Wright starts in place of the suspended Chocky Davies in the second row.

West: Rudd, Thomas, Kerr, Thompson, Hodgson, Connolly [capt], Tighe, Cholmondeley, Cullinane, Cook, Webb, Wright, Tones, Sawyer, Bennett. Reps: Baggs, Robinson, McNeish.
