Harry Tones has very kindly paid for a new suspended ceiling for the bar and his mate Fred put it up for nowt --- and he's a Rovers man! It looks great. Harry says he's made the donation because he's spent a lot of time looking at pub ceilings and he wants to make sure this one is a good one.
Last week's injuries look like clearing up and we should have Stu, Toddy and Milney back for Saturday.
The Under 17s begin their Yorkshire league season at Brinkburn on Sunday against Wharfedale [11.00] and they are definitely worth supporting.
Horden are in the intermediate cup so our next home game is Sept 25th v Redcar.
Trying to fix up a Stags game v Horden for the 18th so Rod can have a good look at them [the Stags that is as that not all of them turn up for training!]
