Full Back Headache For Stabler

Full Back Headache For Stabler
Stabs
Chocky Davies's yellow cards have finally caught up with him. The enthusiastic second row has a one-match ban for the trip to Bedford which should see Dan Wright moving up to partner Chris Webb with Henry Tones partnering Stu Bennett and Tim Sawyer in the back row. But the problem is at full back.

Stabler is still injured and Allan Milne is not yet ready to return so, with Michael Walton still in Holland, we have only six fit backs.... we need seven.

Stabs is looking to bring in a winger or a full back and won't select his team until he knows whether he has landed one.

It used to be the forwards where we had problems but we will line up with Cholmondeley, Cullinane and Cook in the front row and Baggs [still carrying a bit of a knock], Rudd, Robinson and McNeish on the bench. Which of those do you fancy for full-back or winger?

The long trip to Bedford will be another yardstick of our progress. We beat them at home on a glorious day for West, but they immediately went out and strengthened their squad and have also turned a corner.

After last weeks heartbreak the lads deserve a win but it will be a tall order.

West: Thomas, AN Other, Kerr, Thompson, Hodgson, Connolly [capt], Tighe, Cholmondeley, Cullinane, Cook, Webb, Wright, Tones, Sawyer, Bennett. Reps: Rudd, Baggs, Robinson, McNeish.
