New Hearing For Chocky
Chocky
Chocky Davies will get to have his day in court following his sending off at Westoe and subsequent one year ban. Last night the Northern RFU disciplinary panel decided to put the Durham RFU's verdict to one side and hear the case for itself.

West Chairman Stuart Murray was at last night's hearing - as was Chocky after he was unable to attend the original panel after breaking and disclocating his ankle.

West's case was that a one year ban was too severe a sentence for verbally abusing an official [the Westoe touch judge] especially when the recommended RFU ban was eight weeks.

After hearing our concern and examining the papework the panel, which sat at Brighouse, decided it would examine all of the evidence and hear from witnesses itself.
