Training Starts
It's that time of year again! First team training starts again in earnest this Thursday at 7.00 and will continue on Monday and Thursday nights at Brinkburn right through the season. All first teamers, Stags and Colts will be involved.

Stu Bennett will be leading from the front in what he claims will be his last season and it promises to be interesting - to say the least.

Rovers, Horden, Stockton and Redcar will be giving us hard local derbies while the likes of Huddersfield, Driffield and Malton & Norton promise to provide stern tests.

Last season Morpeth were one of the classier sides in the league, and can count themselves unlucky not to go up, while Westoe have Richard Arnold as player coach and the ex-Falcon may well be bringing some of his old old mates with him.

Sandal have also merged with neighbours Wakefield, another of professional rugby's casualties, so, if there are going to be any easy games in this league, its hard to spot which ones they will be. That should give an extra incentive in training!
