New Sponsor for West

New Sponsor for West
There will be a new name on West shirts next season. Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries are our new sponsor and it'll be their Banks's logo which appears on our new shirts for the first time at the end of August. But there's much more to the sponsorship than that........

W&D will help the club move forward with its plans for a new clubhouse on Catcote Road. The company steps in after long term supporters Pubmaster were taken over by Punch Taverns.

They will also help us set up a temporary home at the existing Pavilion while the various funding for the new project is put together.

That means players and supporters will be able to choose from the highly popular Trophy Special, Banks's Bitter Smooth, Fosters and Stella Artois.

Chairman Stuart Murray says: "W&D is a highly respected independent brewer which is interested in sport and which happens to provide the beers that our supporters like!"

"They are very keen to help us achieve our dream of building a new clubhouse. They recognise the potential the club has to rebuild itself and create success both on and off the pitch.

"W&D follow Pubmaster who were tremendous supporters of the club and who helped us stay alive in the wake of professionalism. Our special thanks go to their former Chairman John Sands and to our own Alan Hodgson who was our main shirt sponsor for the past couple of seasons."

Some good news for Mark "Chum" Cholmondeley. W&D originally wanted to promote their famous Pedigree brand on the shirts ... but had a last minute change of heart.
