John Painter's vast experience will be brought to bear as we try to cause an upset and knock Blaydon out of the County Cup.[Crowtrees 3.00]. The other main change from the side which beat Horden is the return of Phil Wallis to fly half in place of Davy Tighe.

Both Davy and Tim Sawyer are away on England duty. Davy is watching them and Tim is playing for England Deaf.

The good news is that Chocky, Henry Tones and Paul Rudd have all been passed fit and will start.

At this stage there are also 6 replacements so quite a few of the young lads will get a chance to see how they go against National League opposition.

Blaydon will have a full strength pack but will give fitness tests to centres Matt Deharty [hamstring] and Pete Kilburn [shoulder].
