If the game does go ahead Anth Carr will return to the front row with Carl Robinson dropping down to the bench. Carlo had a great 20 minute spell at Westoe last week, which helped win the match, but he is working tomorrow morning and won't be able to take part in the warm up. He will be on the bench instead

Anth is a more than able deputy having featured in most games in his first season in senior rugby. He will be the only change to the side which surprised Westoe last week.

Hull need just one point to secure the championship, and have won all of their games so far this season. All of the top sides we have played this season have been adamant that they would beat the league leaders at home, and the Middlesbrough coach was close to staking his mortgage on it. Good job he didn't.

The club was founded in 1992 from the merger of Old Hymerians and our old foes Hull and East Riding. They have a backer in the shape of the owner of Beal Homes [this sounds a bit familiar] and he has helped them bring in some battle hardened rugby league players.

Hull are at the top on merit and will do well in North One next season. We did have our chances down there in our first away match in vastly different weather conditions. At one point in the closing stages of the first half we were camped on their line with the ref giving penalty after penalty against them. He didn't give a penalty try and said afterwards it was because "it was a different player every time." Naturally, they broke the pressure with a 90 metre breakaway in the sixth minute of first half injury time.

That was way back in the long hot summer. Hull have continued their form while our inexperienced squad has matured enormously, is now playing to a game pattern which suits them, and which promises a lot for next season. If the game is on our supporters will get a glimopse of what is needed to achieve promotion.

Incidentally, we will be blessed with one of the up and coming referees. Steve Havery is tipped for the top. He, is of course, a former West scrum half but doesn't have any relatives in the side that we know of.
