Durham RFU has decided to take no action against Darren Thomas following his sending off against Rovers. Dash was red carded on the advice of the touch judge after an incident with a Rovers player on the touchline during the second half.

Both sets of coaches were quickly in to sort things out. The incident was just an isolated one in an otherwise good tempered but hard fought derby.

Dash went along to the hearing at Mowden Park but, after studying the referees report, the disciplinary committee decided to take no further action.

That's good news for West as Dash has been on top form during our unbeaten league run, and has been a more than able deputy for Davy Tighe who injured his shoulder in the same match. That led to Paul Moss standing in a 9 for the final quarter and admitting "I didn't have a clue what I was doing."
