Shortly into the second half we were down at to two tries fashioned by their much bigger pack, but ran the ball throughout the game and thats why left winer Andrew Hare got both tries.

He returned to form,as did Paul Rudd who was lightning quick around the park. He wasn't the only one. Chocky was in superb form as were the rest of the pack. The backs looked slick when we attacked and defended superbly so that their opposing back line never looked like breaking through.

Phil Wallis was the only player not happy after the game having missed two penalty attempts which were both in line but just outside the 22. The crosswind beat him when he would normally have slotted them with ease but he played a major row in getting his baclks running at the opposition at every opportunity. He did come very close with Panda's second try, despite being wide on the left, but the importnat thing was that we were not beaten.

We did not give the hosts a single penalty in kicking range.

Boro had gone ahead on 15 minutes when left winger Davis finished off a forwards drive, and they used their bigger pack to drive over from a five metre scrum after 47minutes. Panda had been very unlucky to have had to take the ball over the line.

It looked like we might have to rue those missed penalties, but we stormed back with a Panda try on 66 minutes. We set up three phases on the edge of their 22 and then whipped the ball out wide where Panda had the room to go in.

Boro were down to 14 at the time after the ref finally pulled skipper Fingland for dragging the ball back with his hands.

We had to wait for Boro to get ack to full strength for the try of the game. Great pressure again kept us in their 22. But for once we managed to take their ball at the scrum and superbly quick hands right down the line - including replacement Mark Thompson - put Panda in again.

We finished on top with the Boro forwards looking jaded, and disjointed after John Dixon had been replaced.

Justice could have been done right at the death when we forced a maul five metres out and right in front of their posts. Centre Featherstone blatantly pulled the maul down but Referee David Slawson looked at his watch and blew for full time rather than a penalty.

The moral victory was very much ours.
