We'd used the same breeze to go in 15-5 at half time and that's the way it staayed for the last 40 minutes.

Once again Stu Bennett led from the front, making the hard yards as we were pushed back on our put in. Brett, Tonesy and Chocky led the tackle count, and Stockton hardly ever got close enough to our try line to instill any panic.

We did get lots of line-out ball, and got the ball out at every opportunity where Allan Milne and Peter Hodgson had the beating of their opponents.

Paul Rudd was on the right wing, because of late training injuries to Tommy Barff and Mark Thompson, while Steve Black was already out with a groin strain. Garse had a couple of good gallops in the first half and could have scored.

But it was Todd and Hodgson who got the tries after Wallis knocked over a 25 metre penalty in the 8th minute.

Both tries were similar. The forwards drove into their 22 on the right hand side, set up the ball form the maul, ith was whipped quickly out by Thomas and Wallis and first Hodgy on 18 monutes, and then Toddy just before half time, spotted a gap and raced over from 15 metres. Wallis converted Hodgy's try.

In between winger Andy Braney finished off a similar move for Stockton after we were pushed off our own set-piece ten metres out.

We could have had a few more tries. We ran the ball well into the wind, but too often the final pass to the man in space was high and wild. Allan Milne asked me not to mention his effort which was the most spectacular - so I won't.

It was our first double of the season although the edge has been taken off because we lost the points from the win at Stockton for a cock-up in regstering Steve Black.
