In all Chocky was banned for 12 weeks. However, he had already been banned by Durham RFU for eight weeks after not turning up for the original citing hearings.
This was on legal advice as he faced serious grievous bodily harm charges at Crown Court arising from the same incident. A jury found him not guilty on all counts.
Last night's hearing was at Brighouse in West Yorkshire and did not end until after midnight.
John Stabler represented Chocky with a solicitor representing Sean Fletcher and West Park.
Mail Sports Editor Roy Kelly, who was one of the neutrals closest to the incident ,also travelled to Brighouse to give evidence on Chocky's behalf.
Fletcher received a serious eye injury which has impaired his vision but, fortunately, he has been able to resume his career as a detective with the Merseyside force. The panel ruled that his injury was caused by reckless use of a hand rather than the more serious charge of deliberately poking an opponent in the eye.
