But Horden stuck it up their jerseys in the second half and ran in a few tries. Phil Wallis notched our penalty and, like many of his teammates, showed enough to suggest that as they get used to this type of opposition some better results will come.

Once again the youngsters did the club proud as they fronted up to a much bigger and older Horden second XV. Bolstered by excellent performances from the two experienced hands in Geritz and Phil Gilbraith they held their own for the first half trailing by just 6-3.
